We believe performing arts should be both educational and enjoyable. Whether someone is stepping on stage for the first time or continuing to develop their skills, The Studio at Amie provides a place to grow, create, and be part of a creative community.

At The Studio at Amie, we believe performing arts should be both structured and inspiring. Students learn technique and performance skills while also being encouraged to explore creativity, collaborate with others, and enjoy the process of performing.
Our classes focus on building confidence, encouraging expression, and helping students feel comfortable on stage. Whether a student is young and discovering the arts for the first time or an adult reconnecting with their creative side, the studio is a place to learn, have fun, and keep creativity alive.

Monday: Acting & Creative Play
Tuesday: Dance & Music
Wednesday: Musical Theatre & Performance
Each class meets weekly and is designed to grow with each participant as they continue learning and developing over time.

Ages 5–7

Monday | 3:30–4:30 PM
A hands-on creative class where young children explore imagination through movement, music, storytelling, and guided play. Students build confidence, communication, and social skills in a supportive environment.
Semester concludes with a small showcase.

Tuesday | 3:30-4:30 PM
An introduction to musical theatre through song, movement, and storytelling. Students learn simple songs, movement patterns, and performance basics while building confidence and coordination.
Semester concludes with a small showcase.

Wednesday | 3:30–4:30 PM
Young dancers will explore movement, rhythm, and music while learning basic dance skills in a fun and encouraging environment. This class focuses on creativity, coordination, and building confidence through dance.
Semester concludes with a small showcase.

Monday | 4:45–5:45 PM
An energetic acting class using games, improvisation, and scene work to develop character, expression, focus, and ensemble skills.
Semester concludes with a showcase.

Tuesday | 4:45–5:45 PM
A triple threat/musical theatre class combining singing, dancing, and acting. Students build vocal technique, choreography skills, and ensemble confidence, with opportunities for solo work.
Semester concludes with a performance showcase.

Wednesday | 4:45–5:45 PM
A group-based dance class focused on movement, rhythm, coordination, and creative expression. Students explore dance basics while building confidence, musicality, and performance skills.
Semester concludes with a musical showcase.

A collaborative acting class where teens explore improvisation, scene study, character development, and mock auditions in a supportive environment.

A performance-driven triple threat/musical theatre class focused on acting through song, movement, and stage presence.

A fun and energetic dance class where teens learn choreography, develop their style, and build confidence through movement and performance.

A welcoming, low-pressure class for adults looking to reconnect with creativity, play, and self-expression through improv and acting exercises.Optional end-of-semester showcase.

Angeline Fontaine
STUDIO DIRECTOR
Angeline Fontaine is a professional vocalist, performer, and creative director with experience in live entertainment, recording, acting, and production. She brings a thoughtful and encouraging approach to arts education, helping students grow into confident, expressive, and versatile performers. Inspired by the support of her family and community, Angeline deeply committed to celebrating the arts, finding joy in performance, and giving back to her roots by supporting the local arts scene.Fun fact: Angeline loves trying new restaurants, hosting game nights, and bringing animated characters to life with her voice!

Melany Rivera
TRIPLE THREAT
Melany Rivera is a professional singer, songwriter, and dancer with years of live performance, studio experience, and a background in musical theater. As a former member of the pop girl-group Bella Dose, she brings real-world industry insight into the classroom. Melany is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong technique, and discover their unique voice. -

Maryann Arnita Payne-Benjamin
DANCE
Maryann Arnita Payne-Benjamin is an experienced dancer and instructor with years of training, performance, and teaching behind her. She brings excellence, creativity, and encouragement to the classroom, helping students strengthen their technique while growing as confident and expressive performers. Maryann creates an uplifting space where dancers feel supported, challenged, and excited to develop their artistry. -

Alexandre Grand-Pierre
STUDIO COORDINATOR
A longtime participant in choral and vocal music, Alexandre Grand-Pierre enjoys the sense of connection, expression, and community that the arts can create. A staff singer and member of the Master Chorale of South Florida, he has also been involved in music through church choir, college ensembles, and other performance opportunities. He enjoys being part of the studio community and helping create a positive experience for families and students.
Fun fact: Alex loves cooking, anime, and discovering new recipes in the kitchen.

Melissa Cabrera-Reyes
ART & STUDIO ASSISTANT
Melissa Cabrera-Reyes is a creative and caring instructor who loves helping young artists discover the joy of making art. She loves creating fun painting, drawing, and mixed-media projects with her students. She believes every child has a unique spark, and in her class, students will explore, imagine, get a little messy, and most of all, have lots of fun!
Fun fact: When she’s not making art, Melissa loves singing, playing video games, and spending time with her dog Loki and her lizard Pepito.

Nick Chin
MUSIC
Nick Chin is a talented saxophonist and performer with over a decade of experience in the music industry. Known for his rich tone, versatility, and refined technique, he has performed at a wide range of events across South Florida. Nick brings a thoughtful and engaging approach to music education, helping students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and grow as expressive, well-rounded musicians.
